Crusaders Recognized on All-Laurens County Teams

For the first time ever, GoLaurens.com/GoClinton.com are recognizing the top performers for an All-Laurens County team from the baseball and softball programs at Laurens High School, Clinton High School and Laurens Academy.

Players from Laurens Academy's Championship Baseball team have been recognized by SCISA with region awards.

LA's senior baseball players were recognized at the semi-final game at home against Clarendon Hall on Tuesday evening.

The 3-time State Champion Laurens Academy Crusaders opened their varsity baseball season this weekend in Charleston. Friday night the team lost their opener against SCISA 3A Northwood Academy 1-0.

Senior, Sam Giddens, committed to Anderson University for baseball on Sunday, October 18. Sam says, " I'm glad I'm going to the school I wanted and I'm excited about playing ball for them."

This summer, Junior Alex Satterfield committed to play baseball for the University of South Carolina. Satterfield is versatile player who can compete in any position on the diamond, as well as at the plate.
