Attention Athletes and Parents
Athletes need to return the Greenville Hospital System Consent form which allows our athletic trainer to give treatment, if needed. To get another for, see Bob Detwyler. Parents also need to go online at the ATS web site and input their athlete's information. For more information email at@laurensacademy.com.

 SCISA Athletic Forms

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Thursday morning in the gym at 7:30 AM.  All Upper School students are invited to attend.  Occasionally, the meeting place will be at a local restaurant and the location will be posted on the school sign in front of the gym.

Culbertson Throws No-Hitter in Opening Weekend

The 3-time State Champion Laurens Academy Crusaders opened their varsity baseball season this weekend in Charleston.  Friday night the team lost their opener against SCISA 3A Northwood Academy 1-0.

Girls Region/Region Tourney Runners-Up

The Lady Crusaders are the Region Tournament Runners-Up after a heartbreaking loss to Wardlaw Academy in the Tournament Championship game. This also put the Lady Crusaders in second place overall for the region. The girls begin the State Tournament on Friday for the first round game.

Culbertson Chooses Gamecocks

Ryland Culbertson, senior, has accepted a preferred walk-on offer to play football for the Carolina Gamecocks in fall 2010 as a long snapper.

Crusaders Get Recognition

Even though our team did not get a chance at post season this year, one of our seniors, Ryland Culbertson has been chosen to play in the North-South game to be held at Orangeburg Preparatory Academy in Orangeburg on December 5, time to be announced.

Broome Picked for North/South All-Stars

Lauren Broome attended the SCISA Volleyball All-Star game held at Heathwood Hall on October 21.  " I had a lot of fun and it was an honor to be able to play on the All-star team again my senior year," says Lauren.

The Senior Volleyball players were recognized at Senior Day.  They received flowers and Coach Dees told anecdotes about each girl.  Their parents joined them in the recognition. Our seniors were Laura  Langston, Callie Holmes, Raegan Chumley and Lauren Broome.

Thank You Cheerleaders

Football wouldn't be football without Cheerleaders!  Not only do the cheerleaders cheer at games, but they plan pep rallies, put goodies and encouraging notes in the players' lockers, hold camps for the middle school cheerleaders and junior cadets, provide snacks for the players on the bus, and decorate the gym doors with spirit before games.
